The Olive Tree restaurant is situated in historic Dunfermline, the ancient seat of Scottish Kings and the former capital of Scotland. Dunfermline is the second largest settlement in Fife and home of the burial places of both Robert I and Saint Margaret.
The building had its origins as a Toll House for one of the turnpike roads in Dunfermline and is owned and managed by Ferdous Oskooi, a well known character in the local area. The house menu offers a full range of pizza, pasta, fish, and salad dishes, as well as prime Scottish steaks, fantastic Italian breads, olives and hot and cold starters. There is a children`s menu available for patrons up to the age of 10 which offers a great selection of starters, mains and sweets for smaller appetites.
For great value for money, the set menu which is available in the afternoon (noon - 6pm) and the evening (6pm - 9pm) offers a selection of the most popular dishes on the menu at discounted prices. There are also bar meals and snacks available which can be served either in the restaurant or through in the Tavern.
All the dishes available on the house menu are available to take away and orders can be placed over the phone for a later collection. The take away menu offers a 20% saving on restaurant prices and Ferdous can also arrange to cater your office celebrations, dinner party or any other special occasion.
The Olive Tree is an excellent base from which to explore Scotland, being conveniently located in the heart of the country at Dunfermline. The town is on the A907 which provides an excellent link to both the M90 and the A92 which give easy access to the North, South, East and West of Scotland. The capital of Scotland, Edinburgh, is just 15 miles away and is easily reached by train or bus from Dunfermline and the city of Perth which marks the start of the majestic Scottish Highlands is just 32 miles to the North.
